about

"Survivors" is a compilation of songs composed by Bullets in Madison throughout the years of 2008-2011. Written during the releases of "If I Were a Neutron Star," and "We Became Your Family When You Died," these unheard songs were once considered for official release but never fit into an album concept. Among the short instrumentals, reprises, and ambient compositions are songs that we feel deserve a chance to be heard. "Survivors" has taken on a personality of its own and has officially been released as the new album by Bullets in Madison in August of 2011.

Enjoy the noise.

about

Bullets in Madison Chicago, Illinois

Bullets in Madison is an indie-experimental band from the suburbs of Chicago. With a cinematic and orchestral sensibility, their songs center on ambient, key-driven tones. Their sound encompasses everything from brass, guitars, glockenspiel, and violins. Taking from the school of Broken Social Scene, Sigur Ros, Radiohead, and M83, Bullets in Madison crafts dark, dense, and epical soundscapes. ... more

Track Name: Polaroid
They snapped and they stole every second / until they ran out of film / and found themselves treading in moments passed / presently unblurring toward some future.
Track Name: Waves
I'm the last to be a part of the unknown,
buried in the sound of the waves,
together I thought we'd see the day,
but there's no where left to live but the home.

I'm the last to be a part of the unknown,
this lung is for the blood I breathe,
drowning in the red hearted sea,
choking for my air on the phone.

I'm the last to be a part of the unknown,
buried in the sound of the waves,
together I thought we'd find a way,
but there's no one left here, no one left here, no one left.
